春节刚刚过去，相信大家都会以崭新的精气神面对2025。趁着新年热闹的气氛，CSSA体育部在此推出一年一度的CSSA羽毛球友谊赛，为了缓解同学们的学业压力的同时，开启新的一年！CSSA体育部在此号召大家积极参与，希望大家能够沉浸式体验趣味竞技体育带来的汗水和快乐！

Chinese New Year just passed, and we will all face 2025 with new vigour and spirit. Taking advantage of the lively atmosphere of the New Year, the CSSA Sports Department hereby launches the annual CSSA Badminton Friendly Match, to ease the pressure of students' studies and to start the new year with a bang! We hope you can experience the sweat and joy of fun competitive sports in an immersive way!

2025 Badminton Match

比赛时间：

2025.2.22 周六：16:00-18:30p.m.

2025.02.22 单打团体赛Singles Team Compotition

单打团体赛中，先夺得60分的小组获胜。10分为一层级，对决中只要双方其中一人达到一层级则双方均下场换人。

The first team to score 60 points wins in the singles team competition. 10 points are awarded to a tier, and if one of the two players reaches a tier in a match, both players are removed from the court and replaced.

2025.02.23 双打团体赛Doubles Team Competition

双打团体赛中，先夺得60分的小组获胜，10分为一层级，对决中只要双方其中一队达到一层级则双方下场换人。

The first team to score 60 points wins in the singles team competition. 10 points are awarded to a tier, and if one of the teams reaches a tier in a match, both teams are removed from the court and replaced.

Enrolment Information

Enrolment Time: 2025.02.10 (Monday) – 2025.02.19 (Wednesday)

Price: 每人6磅一天 £6 per day

2025 Badminton Match

报名须知

为了保证公平性，每个队伍中需要包含4个男生以及2个女生。因此，报名阶段，前20名报名的男生以及前10名报名的女生可以保证参加比赛，之后报名的参赛者则进入候补阶段。候补阶段若能够按照人数组成一队，就可以增加一个队伍参加比赛，若候补阶段人数不符合，则剩余的报名参赛者就无缘参加比赛了。所有参赛人员都按照报名时间决定，先到先得！如若报名人数未达到需要候补的人数，每个队伍的男生女生组成将会视报名结果而定，但我们将会尽量做到确保比赛的公平公正。

In order to ensure fairness, each team needs to contain 4 boys and 2 girls. Therefore, during the registration phase, the first 20 boys and the first 10 girls to register are guaranteed to participate in the competition, and those who register after that are placed on a waiting list. If a team can be formed according to the number of participants in the waiting stage, an additional team can participate in the competition; if the number of participants in the waiting stage does not match, the remaining registered participants will not be able to participate in the competition. All participants are determined on a first-come, first-served basis according to the time of registration!If the number of applicants does not reach the number of alternates needed, the composition of each team will depend on the results of the application, but we will try our best to ensure that the competition is fair and impartial.

具体参赛人员将会在报名截止之后，于2025年2月20日在参赛微信群中公布，届时才需要支付报名费。每个队伍最终的队员都会采用随机抽签的形式决定。

The exact participants will be announced in the Participation Weibo Group on 20 February 2025 after the closing date of the registration, and the registration fee will only be payable at that time. The final members of each team will be determined using a random draw.

其他：请自带羽毛球拍，体育部将会提供场地，羽毛球以及补给物资。参赛人员请于比赛开始前20分钟到达比赛场地签到并热身，否则视为比赛弃权。

Others: Please bring your own badminton racket, the sports department will provide the venue, badminton and supplies. Participants should arrive at the venue 20 minutes before the start of the match to sign in and warm up, otherwise it will be regarded as a forfeit.

结语Conclusion

举办比赛的目的之一就是创建一个紧张刺激的竞技环境，让球友们能够在集中注意力，充分发挥自身的实力，不管是与自身实力相当还是与高于自身实力的对手切磋，不仅能够锻炼比赛中的心理素质，也可以磨练技术。这是成长的机会，也是学习的机会。比赛的目的就是让球友能够在过程中成长，享受比赛的乐趣。同时，比赛既有竞技，也有友谊。这也是在杜伦和纽卡斯尔的羽毛球爱好者双方球友互相交流，充分社交的机会。因此，友谊第一，比赛第二，也是此次比赛的目标之一。

One of the purposes of organising tournaments is to create a tense and exciting competitive environment, so that players can give full play to their strengths while focusing on their concentration, whether it is comparable to their own strengths or sparring with opponents higher than their own strengths, which not only enables them to work on their mental qualities during the game, but also to hone their skills. It is an opportunity to grow and learn. The purpose of the tournament is to enable players to grow in the process and enjoy the fun of the game. At the same time, the tournament is both competitive and friendly. It is also an opportunity for badminton enthusiasts in Durham and Newcastle on both sides of the ball to interact with each other and socialise fully. Therefore, friendship first and competition second is also one of the goals of the tournament.
