附件1:《超新星爆炸与教科书级别的古代危机公关


在1006年,世界各地普遍观测到了一颗明亮的超新星(SN1006),正处于北宋年间的中国也不例外。这颗超新星被记录为“周伯”,但它的出现却带来了一场十足的舆论危机。

周伯星到底是吉是凶一直存在争议(古人并不知道每一颗超新星都是独立存在的,只是将看上去类似的天体当做了同一颗星星)。如《黄帝占》将它视为凶兆:“客星有五……周伯,大而黄,煌煌然,所见之国,兵丧,饥馑,民庶流亡。” 《晋书》等记录的看法却完全相反:“周伯星,黄色,煌煌然,所见之国大昌。”关键是这颗超新星出现的时机实在太差。当时宋真宗与老对头辽国签订“澶渊之盟”不过一年,就出现了可能象征战争的异常天象,自然搞得全国人心惶惶。

这个烫手山芋被扔到了当时的钦天监首席周克明手里。他仔细观测了这颗超新星,又在上报时巧妙地引用了几本支持周伯星为吉兆的占星书,说这颗星星并非兵凶之兆,反而会为国家带来繁荣,成功将这场舆情危机掐死在了摇篮里。宋真宗十分高兴,嘉奖了周克明,他也从此一路官运亨通。

对于周伯星的正面看法也持续到了之后的朝代。明仁宗御制的《天元玉历祥异赋》记载:“国欲昌,周伯黄光”,周伯星自此正式成了官方盖章的吉兆。
