逆天了，这些课外活动，哈罗全都有？

“其他孩子只有在假期才能过把瘾的运动，却写在了哈罗安比学生的课表中。”课外活动负责人Mr. David Fitzgerald是这么介绍学校课外活动的。

依托天然的地理地势，学校在冬季“白色季节”（White Season）活动中，甚至让孩子们建造爱斯基摩人的冰屋（igloo）！

在青森大学冰屋建造专家的指导下，同学们不仅学习了冰屋建造的科学原理和技巧，讨论选址、风向和光线对冰屋的影响、冰屋的高度和结构，他们还亲自造雪砖，动手完成冰屋的建造。

这还是只哈罗安比“白色季节”的一部分，学校在12月至次年3月间，特别安排了滑雪课程（Alpine Curriculum）、雪季活动（Alpine Activity）和滑雪研习所（Alpine Clinics）三大活地市动板块，利用得天独厚的山野地势与气候条件，为学生提供独特的户外经历。

在广袤的雪地间，哈罗学子尽情探索自我，勇敢迎接大自然的挑战，为未来克服困难做好准备；亦学会敬畏自然的力量，在每次与伙伴相互搀扶、协作的过程中，懂得互助与合作精神的可贵。

“What other kids can only experience during school breaks, we have them in our curriculum at AISL Harrow Appi,” said Mr David Fitzgerald, the school’s Head of Co-curricular.

With the natural terrain surrounding its campus, the school ushers in the “White Season” every winter, where students even get to build igloos!

Guided by experts from Aomori University, the students not only learn the theories and techniques of building igloos––how location and weather affect them, what structures they should have; but also get hands-on and create snow bricks and igloos themselves.

And all this is just part of the thrill at “White Season”! From December to March every year, Harrow Appi organises the Alpine Curriculum, Alpine Activities, and Alpine Clinics, offering students a unique outdoor experience amid stunning mountains and perfect weather.

On vast swathes of snow grounds, International Harrovians get to discover themselves while facing challenges from nature––the best training to prepare them for the future. Each time they support and work with each other in these activities, they learn valuable lessons of fellowship and teamwork.

STEAM学科素养的培养是哈罗教育尤为重视的一环。因此，除了科学课程，哈罗各校区常借助本地地域资源或国际科技赛事，鼓励学生“花式”拓展活动，让他们在前沿的科技氛围中，学会用创造性思维解决问题。

例如，哈罗横琴·珠海除了在课堂上融入STEAM学科内容，还会组织大量外出探索学习项目。

借助有利的地理位置，哈罗横琴·珠海的学生们可以去长隆海洋公园了解生物多样性，或是前往港珠澳大桥领略建筑科学和力学之美，让科学的思维和概念全面融入到学生生活中，深度激发灵感、提高科学认识。

参加“香港工程挑战赛”的哈罗香港学子们，更有机会在激烈的竞争中，实战自己编程和控制机器人的能力，培养了团队决策与协作意识。

最终，挑战赛还会为胜出队伍提供出战VEX机械人世界锦标赛的机会，与全球高校选手同场进行智慧角逐。

STEAM learning is a crucial part of Harrow education. In addition to our science curricula, AISL Harrow Schools often partner with leading Tech companies to involve  students in Science and Tech competitions. Through these diverse activities, they are able to experience the cutting edge technology while honing creative thinking and problem-solving skills.

For instance, AISL Harrow Hengqin has fully utilised its advantageous geographical locationand organised numerous project-based learning activities beyond the confines of the classroom. 

Students can visit the Chimelong Ocean Kingdom to learn about the marine biodiversity; or go on a field trip to explore the great architectural wonder of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. These opportunities not only allowed students to enhance their scientific understanding, but also integrated knowledges and inspirations into their daily lives.

At the “Hong Kong Tech Challenge Game”, AISL Harrow Hong Kong's students had the opportunity to prove their mettle with their programming and robotic skills through intense competition, while learning to make decisions as a team. Winners of the challenge also will compete in the VEX Robotics World Championship with top talents around the world!

慈善与社区服务意识一直贯穿于哈罗教育的始终，哈罗各校区的学生们都会参与各种公益活动。其中，哈罗慈善长跑（Harrow Long Ducker）是哈罗大家庭中最熟悉、也是历史最悠久的公益项目之一。

公益还以不同形式活跃于各个分校，如慈善义卖、捐助教育物资、保护濒临生物、维护生态环境、为企业可持续发展提出创新解决办法。

今年春天，哈罗海口的学生和家长们以车尾箱市集为形式，售卖家中闲置物品并募集善款。售卖所得善款将用于火烈鸟、鲎、陆龟等稀有物种的保育及救助。

在学生们一声声吆喝、宣传中逐渐成长，变得更加勇敢，保护濒危生物的环保意识也在他们的心里生根发芽。

事实上，在哈罗的每一个课外活动，都不仅仅是眼界和能力技巧的培养，更重要的是，让学生能从中领悟、践行正确的价值理念，让他们在未来无论身处何方，面对何种挑战，依然坚守准则和内心航向，守护他们抵达更远更精彩的未来。

Charity and community service are a constant theme in Harrow education. While the "Long Ducker" is the most well-known and oldest charitable tradition at Harrow, our family of schools have also organised various types of charity services for students.

Such as charity bazaars, donation of education supplies, protection of endangered animals, environmental conservation, and delivering creative solutions for the sustainable development of corporations.

During the Spring term, students and parents from AISL Harrow Haikou gathered around for a Car Boot fundraiser to sell unused household items. The donation raised were dedicated to supporting the conservation and the rescue of endangered species like flamingos, horseshoe crabs, and tortoises. 

As the cheers grew louder, students' confidence soared, and their passion for protecting these endangered species blossomed within them.

In every CCA at AISL Harrow Schools, students not only develop perspectives and skills; more importantly, they learn and practise core values that will help them stay grounded in their principles in the face of challenges and build a better future for themselves.
