秋风微凉,2023届学生会迎来了首次团队建设活动。这次具有特殊意义的活动有幸邀请到曾在知名互联网公司阿里巴巴担任高级管理职位的Chan先生。

The autumn breeze was slightly cool on September the second, the date on which the Students Union of 2023 held its first team-building event. This special event had the honor of inviting Mr. Chan, who had previously held senior management positions at the well-known internet company Alibaba.

01

Manage Themed Activity


2023年9月2日早晨,学生会委员们齐聚于上海滨江阿里巴巴,迎来了一场以"管理"为主题的团队活动。参与者们被随机划分成四人小队,每个小队由一名营销经理、一名设计师和两名工人组成。


在这场活动中,游戏规则极富创意,主席Julia扮演了产品概念的传递者,将产品理念传达给各个小队的营销经理。随后,营销经理需将这一理念转达给设计师,而设计师则负责将概念转化为具体的产品设计。最后,工人们承担起将设计付诸实际制作的任务。这个游戏设定了一个特殊的规则,即不允许越级沟通。

On the morning of September 2, 2023, the Students Union's members gathered at Alibaba for a team building event centered around "management". Participants were randomly divided into four-person teams, each consisting of a marketing manager, a designer, and two workers.


In this activity, the game rules were highly creative. CEO Julia played the role of conveying the product concept, transmitting the product idea to the marketing managers of each team. Subsequently, the marketing managers had to convey this concept to the designers, while the designers were responsible for turning the concept into concrete product designs. Finally, the workers took on the task of putting the designs into practical production. This game set a special rule: no cross-level communication was allowed.






Cross-Level Communication

这一独特的游戏规为学生会委员们带来了管理和沟通的挑战,迫使他们通过设计师这一中间环节来传递信息和理念。这个规则的制定旨在强调团队协作和沟通的重要性,以及在现实世界中管理和协作时可能面临的挑战。

This unique set of game rules presents a challenge for Students Union members, compelling them to communicate and manage through the intermediary role of a designer to convey information and ideas. The creation of this rule aims to emphasize the significance of teamwork and communication, as well as the challenges one might encounter when managing and collaborating in the real world.

Activity Process Analysis


比赛持续了半小时,任务是设计一副眼镜。最终,经过上海市实验学校中学国际部主任曹老师和Chan先生的审慎评估,小组2以其出色的外观和创意设计获胜。在游戏结束后,每个小组总结了他们在游戏过程中的最大失误。

The competition lasted for half an hour, and the task was to design a pair of glasses. In the end, after careful evaluation by Teacher Cao and Mr. Chan, Group 2 emerged as the winner with its product‘s outstanding appearance and creative design. After the game ended, each group summarized their problems and flaws during the game.

第一小组过于专注于产品的外观和用户体验,却忽略了时间管理,遗憾地未能按时完成他们的作品。

The first group was too focused on the appearance of the product and user experience but neglected time management, hence regretfully failing to complete their work on time.

Group/ Two


第二小组由于沟通不足导致产品重新制作,这表明了沟通的重要性。即使传达者认为其想法足够明确,也需要清晰传达给团队成员。

The second group had to remake the product due to insufficient communication, which highlights the importance of communication. Even if the communicator thinks his or her idea is clear enough, clear communication with team members is still required.


Group/ Three


第三小组的营销经理试图承担设计和制造的所有工作,对团队成员缺乏信任,最终导致产品质量相对欠佳。

The marketing manager of the third group attempted to take on all the design and manufacturing tasks and had a relative lack of trust in team members, ultimately leading to relatively poor product quality.

Alibaba Three-Pronged Approach


游戏环节圆满结束后,学生会成员们迎来了第二个活动,由曾在阿里巴巴担任高级管理职位的Chan先生主持。


在他的演讲中,委员们深入了解了阿里巴巴独有的管理体系,“阿里巴巴三板斧”的构成及其功能。

After the fun game section, Mr. Chan, who previously held a senior management position at Alibaba, hosted an extraordinary speech.


The members gained a deep understanding of Alibaba's unique management system and the functions of the "Alibaba Three-Pronged Approach" through the speech.





阿里巴巴三板斧是一个全面的管理体系,它涵盖了不同层级的管理者和员工,确保了公司在各个层面都能够高效运营和取得成功。

The Alibaba Three-Pronged Approach is a comprehensive management system that encompasses managers and employees at different levels, ensuring the company's efficient operation and success.

头部三板斧,是高级管理者应该坚守的原则。这些原则包括战略规划、领导力发展以及决策制定。高级管理者需要制定公司的长期发展战略,培养和发展未来的领导者,以及在关键时刻做出明智的决策,确保公司的稳健增长。


腰部三板斧,是中层管理者的目标。中层管理者承担着将高级管理者的战略转化为具体行动计划的责任。这包括了目标设定与追踪、团队协作以及资源分配。他们需要确保公司的目标得以实现,协调团队的工作,以及有效地分配资源以支持公司的发展。


腿部三板斧,是基层员工应当遵循的标准。基层员工是公司的生产力和执行者。他们需要具备高效的工作方法、团队合作能力以及对公司文化的理解。通过遵循这些标准,基层员工可以在日常工作中取得卓越表现,为公司的成功作出贡献。

Head-Level  is a set of principles that senior managers should adhere to. These principles include strategic planning, leadership development, and decision-making. Senior managers need to formulate the company's long-term development strategy, nurture and develop future leaders, and make wise decisions at critical moments to ensure the company's steady growth.


Waist-Level  is the goal for middle-level managers. Middle-level managers bear the responsibility of translating the strategic plans of senior managers into concrete action plans. This includes goal setting and tracking, team collaboration, and resource allocation. They need to ensure the company's goals are achieved, coordinate with their teams, and allocate resources effectively to support the company's development.


Leg-Level  is the standard that frontline employees should follow. Frontline employees are the productivity and executors of the company. They need to possess efficient work methods, teamwork abilities, and an understanding of the company's culture. By adhering to these standards, frontline employees can achieve excellence in their daily work and contribute to the company's success.
