Exploring “A Day in the Life of a King”
正值中国文化周，为弘扬中华优秀传统文化，让学生们近距离感受古代文明的魅力，浦东校区一至五年级的全体师生一同走进上海博物馆东馆，开启了一场以“王的一天”为主题的青铜馆人文探索之旅。
学校为每个班级都配备了一名专业讲解员，他们就像一把把钥匙，为学生们打开古代文明的大门。在讲解员的带领下，同学们仿佛穿越时空，回到了古代，以汉字为切入点，透过一件件精美的青铜器，深度体验古代君王一天的生活。
01
工作篇：青铜酒器中的礼仪与权谋
活动伊始，讲解员带着同学们来到了青铜酒器展区。“尊”与“爵”，作为古代饮酒文化中的重要角色，率先映入大家的眼帘。
讲解员生动地讲述着，“尊”最初是盛酒器，随着时代演变，逐渐被赋予了尊敬之意，这其中蕴含着古人对礼仪的重视。而“爵”上方的“小蘑菇”造型，其实有着独特的实用功能，它是斟酒时的关键部件，体现了古人的智慧。
同学们围在展品前，眼睛里满是好奇，纷纷提出自己的疑问，讲解员耐心地一一解答，让同学们深刻感受到了古代饮酒文化的丰富多样。

饭食篇：钟鸣鼎食见繁华
酒足之后，自然少不了美食相伴。在饭食器具展区，鼎和簋成为了焦点。讲解员详细地介绍着，鼎是煮肉、盛肉的器具，簋则是盛饭的容器，它们的不同用途反映了古代严格的饮食礼仪。
“钟鸣鼎食”这一成语，生动地描绘了富贵人家吃饭时击钟列鼎而食的奢华场景，让同学们对古代贵族的生活有了更直观的认识。同学们一边听着讲解，一边想象着古代君王在华丽的宫殿中，享用着美味佳肴的场景，不禁感叹古代文化的博大精深。

享乐篇：甬鼓声声传雅乐
古代君王的生活不仅有工作与饭食，还有丰富的享乐活动。在音乐器具展区，甬和鼓吸引了同学们的目光。讲解员告诉大家，编钟用一个字来概括就是“甬”，它通过不同大小、厚薄的钟体，能够发出不同的音阶，演奏出美妙的音乐。
“痛”和“通”中的“甬”字，与编钟的形状有着奇妙的联系，让同学们感受到了汉字的独特魅力。“鼓”字象征着手持鼓槌敲击鼓面，同学们模仿着敲鼓的动作，仿佛置身于古代的宫廷乐舞之中。

生活篇：匜鉴映照千年风雅
最后，同学们来到了生活器具展区。匜和鉴作为洗漱用具，展现了古代贵族优雅的生活方式。匜用来倒水，与接水的盘合起来就是一个“盥”字，这个字生动地描绘了古人洗手的场景。
“鉴”就是镜子，它不仅能让古人整理仪容，更像一面镜子，照耀出中华民族的光辉历史，以及中国古代贵族的优雅。同学们看着这些精美的青铜器，仿佛看到了古代贵族们注重生活品质、追求优雅生活的画面。
这次上海博物馆东馆之行，就像一场穿越千年的文化之旅，让同学们在欣赏青铜器之美的同时，深入了解了中国古代的文化、礼仪和生活方式。活动结束后，同学们纷纷表示收获颇丰，他们不仅学到了丰富的历史知识，更对中国传统文化产生了浓厚的兴趣。学校也将继续开展此类活动，让更多的学生走进博物馆，感受中华文化的博大精深，传承和弘扬中华民族的优秀传统文化。

During the Chinese Culture Week, students from Grades 1 through 5 at the Pudong campus embarked on an enriching educational journey to the Shanghai Museum East. This visit centered around the immersive exhibition titled "A Day in the Life of a King," housed within the museum's renowned Ancient Chinese Bronze Gallery.
Each class was accompanied by a professional guide who provided detailed explanations of the artifacts, enabling students to delve into the daily life of ancient Chinese monarchs through the lens of bronze ware.
Work and Rituals: The Significance of Bronze Wine Vessels
The tour commenced with an examination of bronze wine vessels such as the "zun" and "jue." Students learned that the "zun," initially a container for wine, evolved to symbolize respect, reflecting the ancient emphasis on ritual propriety. The "jue," notable for its distinctive design, was highlighted for its practical function in wine ceremonies. These artifacts illustrated the intricate relationship between ritual practices and governance in ancient times.
Culinary Practices: Insights from Bronze Food Vessels
In the subsequent section, students explored bronze food containers like the "ding" and "gui." The "ding," used for cooking and serving meat, and the "gui," for holding grains, exemplified the structured dining etiquette of the nobility. The term "zhong ming ding shi" (bells ringing and tripods steaming) was introduced, painting a vivid picture of the opulent banquets of the era.
Musical Entertainment: The Role of Bronze Instruments
The life of an ancient king encompassed not only work and dining but also a rich array of leisure activities. In the musical instruments exhibit, the ‘Yong’ bell chimes and drums immediately captured the students’ attention. The guide explained that the ‘bianzhong’ (a set of bronze bells) could be summarized by the character "甬," as the bells of varying sizes and thicknesses could produce different musical notes, creating beautiful melodies.
The guide also shared that the character "甬," found in words like "pain" (痛) and "communication" (通), bears a fascinating connection to the shape of the ‘bianzhong’, offering students a glimpse into the unique beauty of Chinese characters. The character for "drum" (鼓) symbolizes the action of holding drumsticks and striking the drum's surface. Students eagerly mimicked the drumming motion, imagining themselves amidst a grand court performance in ancient times.
Personal Grooming: The Use of Bronze Toiletries
The ‘jian’ served as a mirror in ancient times, allowing people to tidy their appearance. More profoundly, it stands as a reflection of the glorious history of the Chinese nation and the refined elegance of ancient nobility. As the students gazed upon these exquisite bronze artifacts, they seemed to envision the noble class of ancient China, who placed great importance on the quality of life and the pursuit of graceful living.
This educational excursion offered students a tangible connection to China's rich cultural heritage. By engaging directly with historical artifacts, they gained a deeper appreciation for the complexities of ancient Chinese society and the enduring legacy of its traditions. The school remains committed to providing such immersive learning experiences to foster a profound understanding and respect for cultural history among its students.
